WORKSHOPS
Learn to See light Differently
LTL Photo Art workshops are designed for photographers who want to strengthen their technical skills, develop a more creative eye, and experience inspiring locations through hands-on instruction in the field.
Led by professional photographers Lyle Lansdell and, for select workshops, John Hallam, every workshop combines practical camera techniques, thoughtful composition, location guidance, and personalized coaching to help participants create stronger, more compelling photographs.
Whether you're an enthusiastic beginner, an experienced photographer looking for fresh inspiration, or someone wanting to become more intentional behind the camera, LTL Photo Art workshops provide a welcoming environment where you can learn, explore, and grow as a photographer.
What Makes Our Workshops Different
Our workshops are intentionally designed to be small, personal, and experience-driven. Rather than simply visiting beautiful locations, participants learn how to recognize great light, compose with purpose, and create photographs that tell meaningful stories.
With a limited number of participants, every photographer receives individual attention, constructive feedback, and practical instruction throughout the experience.
What You'll Learn
Instruction varies by workshop location but may include:
Composition and visual storytelling
Working with natural light
Landscape and coastal photography
Long-exposure photography
Black-and-white creative vision
Camera settings and exposure
Using ND and polarizing filters
Field workflow and image review
More Than a Workshop
Every LTL Photo Art workshop is built around three ideas:
Learn practical techniques you can use anywhere.
Photograph extraordinary locations during the best available light.
Return home with greater confidence, stronger images, and a renewed passion for photography.

"Before meeting with Lyle, photography felt overwhelming. His simple explanation of the exposure triangle and thoughtful guidance on composition gave me the confidence to finally understand how my camera works. I left inspired, excited, and seeing the world through a completely different lens." — Matilda, Neptune, NJ
