Lyle Lansdell
Lyle Lansdell is the founder of LTL Photo Art and a lifelong student of photography whose passion is capturing landscapes, architecture, and the ever-changing light that transforms ordinary scenes into extraordinary images.
Throughout a professional career spanning more than five decades, Lyle has served as a business executive, nonprofit leader, author, speaker, football coach, and educator. His extensive travels throughout the United States and internationally have provided countless opportunities to explore and photograph remarkable landscapes, coastlines, cities, and architectural landmarks.
His passion for photography grew alongside the evolving marketing needs of the multifamily housing industry, where he recognized the power of compelling imagery to tell a story and create lasting impressions. Over time, that professional foundation evolved into a pursuit of fine art photography that combines technical excellence with artistic vision.
Committed to continually refining his craft, Lyle completed the eCornell Digital Photography Certificate Program and has participated in photography workshops throughout the United States and internationally, learning from accomplished photographers while developing his own distinctive style.
His experiences in leadership, education, and service have shaped not only the way he photographs the world, but also the way he teaches others to see it. Whether leading a photography workshop, creating custom artwork for a client, or capturing a fleeting moment in nature, his goal is to inspire others to slow down, look more closely, and discover the beauty that surrounds them.
His favorite subjects include dramatic landscapes, coastal scenes, architecture, and the ever-changing beauty of sunrise and sunset. Above all, he hopes every photograph reflects the beauty, creativity, and majesty of God's creation.
John Hallam
John Hallam is a professional photographer and retired high school photography teacher who dedicated more than two decades to helping students develop both the technical skills and creative confidence needed to succeed behind the camera.
Throughout his career, John has completed numerous professional photography assignments, including creating comprehensive photography portfolios for multifamily communities used in marketing, leasing, and branding. His ability to combine technical excellence with thoughtful composition has made him a trusted photographer for both commercial and educational projects.
As an avid surfer, John has spent years exploring and photographing the Southern California coastline from Newport Beach to La Jolla, developing a deep understanding of coastal light, ocean conditions, wave patterns, and composition. His firsthand knowledge of the coast brings a unique perspective to LTL Photo Art's coastal photography workshops.
For more than 15 years, John has served in the Page Department at the Academy Awards, where he has been part of the team supporting one of the entertainment industry's most iconic events. The same professionalism, attention to detail, and calm presence that define his work there are evident in his photography and his approach to teaching others.
Known for his patient teaching style and encouraging approach, John enjoys helping photographers of all experience levels build confidence, strengthen their creative vision, and become more intentional behind the camera. Whether leading a workshop, mentoring an individual photographer, or photographing the California coast, his goal is to help others see light, composition, and storytelling in new ways.
